Application Process
Eligibility
The T&M Program is open to sophomores majoring in:
- Gies College of Business – all majors
- The Grainger College of Engineering – all majors
- Agricultural and Biological Engineering (College of ACES)
- Chemical Engineering (College of LAS)
Note: Starting Spring 2026, freshmen in the above majors will be eligible to apply.

Sophomores (Cohort 32): November – early December
Freshmen (Cohort 33): January - February
Submit your online application and required essays.
Sophomores (Cohort 32): December - February
Applications open on December 15, 2025.
Freshmen (Cohort 33): March - April
Applications open on March 2, 2026.
Admission offers and orientation details are sent to selected students.
Sophomores (Cohort 32): March – early April
Freshmen (Cohort 33): Late May
Selection criteria
We look for students who:
- Can balance 22 additional credit hours of rigorous coursework
- Show strong commitment, curiosity, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in collaboration across disciplines
- Understand the demands and structure of the T&M Program
How to apply
You'll complete an online application that includes:
- Short essays about academic background, extracurricular involvement, and career goals
- A statement explaining why you want to join the T&M Program
Final decisions are announced in early spring, followed by orientation events for admitted students.
For Sophomores (Cohort 32): Applications open December 15, 2025.
For Freshmen (Cohort 33): Applications open March 2, 2026.
