Curriculum

The Hoeft T&M curriculum bridges engineering and business with a focused, seven-course sequence that builds technical fluency, strategic insight, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Each course is required, offered once per year, and must be completed in sequence to ensure cohesiveness and rigor.

Hoeft T&M Seminar (BADM/ENG 261)

Prepare for the program in this optional, sophomore-level seminar. Featuring senior executives as guest speakers, the seminar offers insights into industry challenges, career paths, and innovation leadership to provide a meaningful preview of the Hoeft T&M experience. Though it is not a requirement for application into the T&M Program and is not any indication of acceptance, the seminar provides a preview of the types of content addressed by the T&M program. Students may enroll in BADM/ENG 261 in the spring of their freshman year.

Capstone Project (TMGT 461)

Your final course is a high-impact, team-based experience where interdisciplinary groups tackle a real business or technical problem sponsored by a corporate affiliate. You’ll consult with advisors, travel to company sites, and present a polished solution to senior industry leaders, mirroring the innovation process in today’s dynamic organizations.
